just get ur self a plank of wood about 6-8 inches wide for a fox and the appropiate length and about a inch thick and on one of the ends just make a flattened point i think any wood will do.

You can either make a fleshing beam out of wood or you can just buy a 4 or 5 foot length of PCV pipe 4 to 6 inches in diameter. Wire stretchers are dirt cheap from any trapping supply company the size...

Yes that is how I do it. Some lean the beam up on a tree or building and pinch the skin off at the top of beam between what ever ya got it propped against. If you do it that way you pull. To me it...

that standing up straight or sitting up straight is always preferrable to slouching or hunching over.. so if you can stand up more erectly whether using a vertical or a horizontal beam 'yer cruizin'....

if ya are in a pinch (like i broke mine) i used a section of a fence post. not the greatest but when ya are only doing a few hides at a time <10 its great at least till u get another one made.

I actually use like a sleeve of white pvc over the top of a beam I've had for years. It doesn't gouge at all and I can haul it around and put it over whatever and have a really smooth surface.
